Raya Bruckenthal is a graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem (2000) and the Interdisciplinary   Program in the Arts of the Tel Aviv University (2010). 
Bruckenthal has been working in a studio at the Art Cube Artists’ Studios, Jerusalem, since 2014-2019  and  now  in the Teddy stadium Artists’ Studios.  

She is a Winner of Ministry of Culture and Sport Prize in Arts 2021 and also in 2014
 ,Member of the Steering   Committee of  'Studio of her own'- A platform for promoting women artists and  a lecturer in art and film.

Her works examine the function of the visual expression in structuring identities. 
Her works facilitate an alternative reading to traditional concepts in a protected space for an open dialogue on the nature of beliefs. 

She uses the impactful power of familiar popular imagery and links them to concepts from Orthodox Judaism in which she was raised. 

She exhibited in art spaces in Israel and abroad Including the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, the Anna Ticho House - the Israel Museum Jerusalem ,the museums of Haifa, Ein Harod ,  Herzliya ,Be'er  Sheva And in various galleries such as H2- the art center for contemporary art Glasspapast Augsburg, Germany , Noga gallery, Tel-Aviv , Inga gallery, Tel-Aviv ,The Artists' Studios gallery, Tel-Aviv ,The Jerusalem Art Cube gallery  at the Talpiot Artists’ Studios.

Her works are in the collections of the Knesset(-tha Israeli parlament)Herzelia Museum, Haifa Museum, Negev Museum of Art, Beer Sheva, the Igal Ahouvi Collection, and other private collections in Israel and abroad.
